Hey gang; Ok it is time to make some fine habits. You know, like eating a pork barrel full of Ben and Jerry's ice cream at three am in the morning. Nah......that's not the sort of habit I am speaking about. The only habit which will make is a quick trip to the toilet first thing in the morning. Ok, what then?

To make a individualal profit enterprise that never fails requires great habits. With out great habits, you'll default to bad habits.

I say that all the time....When you go after something do not come back till you get it. Let me illustrate. In the sales profession, individuals are trained never inquire a prospect for his time. Take it; they're instructed.

Well, should you believe about it, then gain in anything you are up to could be boiled down to a scientific formula. Failure may also be boiled down to a formula. Apply the one, bypass the other. Sounds simple, right?

Then why do so darn many individuals fail when trying something worthwhlist? Why do so many discover themselves sucking wind and invariably ending up the tail instead of the head? Michael Jordan says it best. "I've failed repeatedly again in my life, and THAT is why I benefit.

Then why do so few individuals attain what Michael Jordan has? Fear of failure. No one likes to fail. Yet failure is only temporary as lengthy as we take another stab at what we're up to.

You say though……..yea, yet I am the one that's been stabbed. Ok, so what makes you so special? You consider Elvis never failed? You believe Henry Ford never failed? What causes failure anyhow?

Timidity and Fear! Yuk! I understood you were going to say that.

Yea, that's right. Let me illustrate. I understood a guy a few years back that was tough up for a job. He told me somebody suggested he sell insurance. Yuk, he says, why do not I merely slit my wrist? Yet he says, I can not even receive a job driving a garbage truck, so, he did take a job selling insurance.

He says I was scared stiff. He'd never sold anything in his life. So, his executive told him, "I will give you 5 names eachday to call on. Only make sure to view these individuals the especially same day. He promised and went home to study his sales material.

Eachday for a week, he made several sales, and then, something interesting taken place. His sales executive was in a meeting and might not give him his 5 names to call on.

He told him to go to the yellow pages and discover the names of 5 owners and call on them. He says that's what I have been up to for the last week. And his sales administrator says these words to him. "Profit is a matter of mental attitude." YOUR attitude. And, your entire business shall depend on your attitude.

He says I went out there with the same attitude with the names I selected as I had with the names that my sales administrator had picked for me.

Then he says I came to know an essential lesson about timidity and fear. First of all I recognized fear is nature's way of keeping me from harm, particularly as I do not understand what is waiting for me.

He came to know that fear might be a destructive emotion. So destructive that it might paralyze the biggest of men. Benefit is attaind by those who attempt. If there's nothing significant to lose by attempting and a lot to gain by attempting, by all implies, attempt.

And, the emotion of fear shall be neutralized as you begin to attempt. Not as you sit on your rear eating that pork barrel full of ice cream and wish and hope.

Another illustration from my internal experience. Many of you understand I am a recording artist and my proceedion is music. Individuals all the time believe that "some" individuals are simply gifted to sing and perform. If they only knew. When I first started singing, I'd go to night clubs that sponsored karaoke or open mic nights and sing.

When I first started, I'd sit in my seat hoping the DJ would lose my slip of paper with my name on it so he mightn't call me up there. Of course, nobody else understood that. Ha! After I'd sing one song, the back of my neck would be dripping with perspiration after only a three minute song. Simply from nervousness. I felt like a lengthy tailed cat in a dark room full of rocking chairs.

The more I did that, the less nervousness I had. Then one day, no more perspiration. What neutralized the fear? Action. I understood the emotion of fear was not subject to reason. I reasoned there was no need to be afraid. I mean it was not like I was facing a firing squad; nobody used to be about to shoot me. Or, make ME eat that pork barrel full of ice cream. I had NO reason to be afraid. Yet, the fear was still there.

So, I understood an critical psychological principle. Fear is not subject to reason, yet it's subject to action. When your considereds shall not rid you of an undesirable emotion, action shall. I found out I might speak to myself till I was wacky, and may not speak away the fear. It only does not work like that. I understood that fear was not conducive to giving my best performance.

So Homer,……… Sing to Win they says!!
