How many times do you say, "Gee, I wish I had of came to understand...?" How often do you bypass new tinquires simply since they are out of your "comfort zone" and the tinquire would include having to come to know something new?

I realized how slow we, as adults, resist coming to understand. I have often heard it says that as we get older, our considered processes slow down and it'sn't as easy for us to comprehend. Is that right? Or is it simply we do not wish to come to understand?

When my daughter Kelsey was 4 years old I was watching her one day, I noted some differences in between children and adults. The fact is, I was getting prepared to scold her, when it occurred to me that I ought to be quiet and study the situation instead. I was observing how she was understanding to work with what she's and the tools around her.

Kelsey had dumped a little bucket of mud and stones on the pad behind the house which is usually where we create our outside table and umbrella. My wife, Crystal, often cleaned that area by spraying it with the water hose, which washes pebbles and dust from it.

Before I might scold her she whipped out 2 brooms she'd compiled from where we keep our outside tools. Why 2? Since there were only 2! Probable she did not understand which one would do the best job, so she brought them both. The first broom she dragged across the mud with the brushes pointing upwards. That clearly didn't produce the effect she was attempting to attain so she discarded that broom in favour of the other one. The other broom she dragged across the mud with the brushes pointing toward the pad. That used to be achieving the consequence she expected.

She studied the 2 brooms for only a glimmer of a second. She discarded the second broom and picked up the first one again, and that time she'd the brushes pointed toward the mud.

Discovering the correct tool, and comprehending how to use it's part of the daily life for somebody who's four years old. Every day is filled with new challenges and they greet it with such enthusiasm. May our lives benefit by adopting such a approach? Might our corporations benefit from us understanding at least one new thing eachday?
